Carpentry is a skilled trade in which the primary work performed is the cutting, shaping and installation of building materials, primarily wood, during the construction of buildings and other structures.
Carpentry requires a wide range of skills including:

Carpentry typically occurs in a construction area. A constantly changing physical environment increases the chances of being injured, so extra effort needs to be given to working safely.
