Course Description
To ensure the health and safety of yourself, your co-workers, and the citizens of Texas, it is crucial to stay current with all relevant laws, rules, regulations, and codes in the industry. Part one of this course covers the Administrative Rules of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Title 16 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 73, and the Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1305. This content is a required component of the continuing education needed to renew your electrician license.
Part two of this course covers several of the most significant changes in the 2024 edition of NFPA 70E ®, with a focus on the most commonly used sections of the standard.
The final portion of this course explores load calculation requirements and key updates in the 2026 National Electrical Code. It examines how modern electrical systems, including energy management systems and power control systems, influence load calculations and system design.
