Course Description
To ensure the health and safety of yourself, your co-workers, and the citizens of Texas, it is crucial to stay current with all relevant laws, rules, regulations, and codes in the industry. Part one of this course covers the Administrative Rules of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Title 16 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 73, and the Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1305. This content is a required component of the continuing education needed to renew your electrician license.
Part two of this course covers several of the most significant changes in the 2024 edition of NFPA 70E ®, with a focus on the most commonly used sections of the standard.
Part three of this course explores key branch circuit requirements and updates introduced in the 2026 National Electrical Code. It reviews how branch circuit design and installation support electrical safety through proper conductor identification, ground-fault protection, and equipment protection provisions.
The final portion of this course provides a detailed review of feeder and service requirements in the National Electrical Code. Participants will explore how Article 215 and Article 225 work together to govern feeder installations and outside branch circuits, and will examine the rules for establishing a compliant building disconnecting means.
